A ‘hip’ and highly stylish apartment for four with canal views and a secret little garden tucked away in a quiet and very pretty corner of Dorsoduro, a few minutes walk from the Accademia Bridge/Academy of Fine Arts and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and a brief meander to the Zattere waterfront.
Occupying two floors of an old building, Ca’ Magnolia has been decorated and furnished with imagination, originality and taste by its owner whose talent and great eye for putting together a very creative and eye-catching look can plainly be seen in the interesting and unusual pictures etc. adorning its interior.
Slightly minimalist in feel yet very comfortable and welcoming, the ground floor of the apartment comprises a well-equipped kitchen and a main living and dining area with a double sofa bed, attractive whitewashed beams and terrazzo flooring. A fully glazed door ‘brings the outside in’ and leads from the living area directly into the well-furnished garden with its intricate herring-bone paving, climbing wisteria and ancient magnolia tree, which gives the apartment its name.
Upstairs, there’s a very elegant master bedroom, complete with unusual convex mirror (similar to those made by Venetian artisan ‘Canestrelli’) a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, a second bedroom with two single beds and a further bathroom, again with shower.
