Description
We’re delighted to announce the birth of our new set of triplets, on the borders of 3 districts between Sant’ Apostoli and Rialto!
Freshly refurbished for your comfort and enjoyment and right beside the charming coral-coloured church of San Giovanni Grisostomo, the sleeps 12 Ca’ Dei Musicanti (House of the Musicians) comprises 3 elegant apartments (one per floor) in a centrally placed Venetian palazzetto with its very own front door.
In a flourishing area once known for its silk trade, moments to the house of legendary explorer Marco Polo, the Teatro Malibran and the Ponte dei Zogatoli (‘Bridge of Toys’) so named by Venetians in remembrance of the beloved toy shop that once stood to its side , each air-conditioned apartment offers a stylish base for 4 (or up to 12 when booked together) and are perfect for a group of friends or family who’d like to be close but have their own space.
Showcasing a harmonious blend of whitewashed beams, wooden floors and a palette of co-ordinated colours resulting in a relaxed and easy-going vibe, the fully air-conditioned** Ca’ Dei Musicanti apartments offer en suite bathrooms throughout along with Wi-Fi and a washing machine and comprise:
Private palazzetto entrance with communal stairs (shared with its 2 sister apartments) leading up to:
Ca’ Dei Musicanti 1 (1st Floor – no lift)
Entrance into:
A warm and welcoming main sitting / dining room furnished with plenty of comfy seating, a dining table for 4, a wall-mounted image of Jacapo de Barbari’s remarkable 16th-century woodcut View of Venice and a well-equipped kitchenette/breakfast area at one end
2 attractive double bedrooms in a matching crimson and ivory colour scheme, one with a double bed, the other with two singles, and both with en suite tiled bathrooms with shower
* Are you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close to each other but in separate apartments? We offer 2 other units in this charming Venetian palazzetto (little palace): Ca Dei Musicanti 1 (on the 1st Floor), Ca Dei Musicanti 2 (on the 2nd Floor), and Ca Dei Musicanti 3 (on the 3rd Floor)
OUR COMMENT
A quietly elegant and cosy city-base for 4 in a vibrant part of Venice with all amenties and attractions very close to hand.
Splendidly situated at the meeting point of 3 Venetian sestieri (districts) – Castello, Cannaregio and San Marco – a quick sidestep off one of the city’s main arteries linking the Strada Nova/Sant’ Apostoli to San Bartolomeo/Rialto and within walking distance of all the iconic sights and attractions of St. Mark’s Square (via numerous hidden and not-so-hidden routes!) along with a host of Venetian gems, including the dainty jewel-box church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli and the house of Marco Polo (the latter situated just moments from your door).
Close to the Rialto Bridge (which crosses the Grand Canal to the Rialto food markets of San Polo), and to a variety of shops, bars and restaurants including the old favourites Osteria Al Portego and the semi-hidden and solidly traditional Osteria Il Milion.
Within a short stroll of the vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto for exploring the city, the ‘traghetto’ gondola ferries crossing the Grand Canal at Santa Sofia and the Riva Del Carbon, and to 2 well-stocked supermarkets (a Coop and a Despar) also found along the bustling Riva Del Carbon.

If the apartment was equipped with wall hooks (near or above the electricity board) and a small shoe-rack (below the electricity board) in the entrance, wall hooks in the bedrooms and more towel hooks in the bathrooms, that would make life easier.

We really enjoyed the spacious comfortable apartment for our stay in Venice. It was really well located for exploring on foot, while also being very quiet in the evenings. The kitchen was well equipped when we needed a rest from eating out, and we found a fantastic small supermarket very close by and really appreciated your recommendations.

Arranging our pick up to be shown to the apartment was not as easy as we hoped. The person meeting us was looking for a family of 4 when we were 3, and my phone was not working at the time so it took some time to find each other. Other than this we see more

Rossana was great helping with everything, arranging a water taxi, waiting for us when arrive, and giving us good recommendations for places to eat. The best dinner we had was on a restaurant she recommended

It's good to have the protective long narrow mat in the kitchen, but I had a tendancy to lose my balance because of the wrinkles that kept coming back with use. Perhaps a newer mat that is a little more rigid? |

Layout and comfort of the apartment are great. It was quiet, especially considering that it's located so close to a major thoroughfare. And everyone at VOV was great!

The apartment was very quiet - the soundproof windows really eliminated all noise from the street. The beds were comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and the washing machine had a 15 minute fast cycle + a separate fast spin cycle to enable quick laundering of clothes that would dry quickly. The apartment was very clean (and Views on Venice even allowed us to drop our bags off early before cleaning had completed).

Add a shelf of some sort into the shower in the bath without the washing machine.

There is a book in The apartment that provides the answers to just about any question one might have, from where to eat to what to visit. . We will definitely recommend Views on Venice to our friends.

An ancient canal-side palace within minutes of St. Mark’s Square. Hidden away on its landside within the secret courtyard ‘Corte Rubbi’, on the Castello/San Marco border, this once forgotten building has been magically transformed by restorers with vision and interior design savoir-faire. Standing at the gondola-busy T-junction of the San Zulian and Bareteri canals, and encapsulating 10 dazzling apartments of varying colourway and size, the newly launched Corte Rubbi is but a stroll to some of Venice’s most iconic attractions and countless beguiling vistas on which to feast your eyes! Easy to find (when you know the way!) from the shop-lined Campo San Bartolomeo and Salizada San Lio on one of Venice’s canal-encircled ‘islands within an island’, these imaginatively furnished apartments offer Wi-Fi and a communal laundry room and are spread across 4 floors with all upper floors reached by stairs. Highly contemporary in style, air-conditioned** throughout and ranging from a charming studio for 4 to a fabulous penthouse with rooftop terrace, Corte Rubbi’s 10 apartments sleep up to 42 guests if booked exclusively and include: Corte Rubbi 5 – on the 2nd Floor reached by stairs – sleeping 2+1 A beautifully attired bijou studio enjoying canal views from its 2 windows to the fore and comprising: A charming main living / dining / sleeping area in fashionably clashing shades of flamingo pink and scarlet with Venetian terrazzo flooring, wooden beamed ceiling, a double bed with twin bunk beds to the rear, a well-equipped kitchenette for light cooking, and a dining area seating 4 A luxurious bathroom to the side with marble walls and chromotherapy shower Are you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer 9 other apartments within this palazzo: Corte Rubbi 1, Corte Rubbi 3, Corte Rubbi 6, Corte Rubbi 8, Corte Rubbi 9, Corte Rubbi 10, Corte Rubbi 11 and Corte Rubbi 5514 OUR COMMENT A bijou studio for 4 bursting with colour and joie de vivre, in a vibrant, central and endlessly fascinating part of town. A few steps away from the 18th-century church of Santa Maria Della Fava and close to a host of famous sights and attractions including the atmospheric Venetian time-capsule that is the Querini Stampalia, the fabulous Palazzo Grimani just off Campo Santa Maria Formosa, the Church of San Zaccaria with its crypt and wonderful Bellini altarpiece, and Vivaldi’s La Pietà on the sunny Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront… … A short stroll towards a very sedate pace of life lived out amongst the tranquil calles, canals and green spaces of Castello with its laid-back and very genuine neighbourhood vibe… … Or rise with the lark to embrace the atmosphere of St. Mark’s Square (‘the Piazza’) gloriously near-empty before its visitors arrive… or visit at night when the orchestras of Quadri and Florian play*, the bells of the Campanile (bell tower) toll, the marble of the Doge’s Palace glows, and the mosaics of the Basilica shimmer in the darkness… Close to a host of shops, restaurants and bars including the much-lauded Alle Testiere, the upmarket Bistrot de Venise and Alle Corone of the nearby Hotel Reali, the charming Osteria Al Portego (delicious cicheti!) and Osteria Ae Sconte, plus Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa with its tables on the campo. Also within easy reach of 4 well-stocked supermarkets – a Despar at Calle al Ponte de la Guerra, a COOP at Salizada San Lio, and a COOP and a Despar on the Riva del Carbon (near the Rialto Bridge), along with a ‘Vino Sfuso’ (wine on tap) shop on Calle del Mondo Novo and a greengrocer’s stand at Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Within a short stroll of the vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto for exploring the city, the ‘Traghetto’ gondola ferry carrying passengers across the Grand Canal between the Riva Del Carbon and San Silvestro in the San Polo district and the vaporetto (water bus) stop at San Zaccaria for trips around town, visits to the Lido beaches and to the Biennale Pavilions at Arsenale and Giardini. *Note that performances are dependent on weather and season **Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation.
